Bobby Russell Jones was born October 5, 1940, in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late Lonnie Jones and Maggie Wise-Jones.  Bobby entered his eternal rest Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Hackensack University Medical Center, at 2:55 a.m.

Bobby spent his younger years in St. Petersburg, Florida where he graduated from Gibbs High School.  After graduating high school Bobby moved to New York where he resided with his sister Hazel until he enlisted in the Army.  After completing his army service, he enlisted in the national guard where he retired and completed a total of 22 years of service.  Bobby met and married Thelma Walker in 1969.  From this union three children were born. 

Bobby attended Brookdale Community College and Georgian Court University.  He retired from United Parcel Service and Red Bank Public works.  Bobby enjoyed fishing, playing the piano, dancing, singing and playing horses.  Bobby will be deeply missed by his family and friends. 

Bobby was predeceased in death by his parents, Lonnie Jones and Maggie Wise-Jones; stepson Alexander Bethea and daughter Stephanie Jones; sister Eunice Jones; two brothers Lonnie Jones Jr., Charlie Jones and brother-in-law James Mill.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Thelma Jones of Eatontown; daughter Sharon Jones who tragically has been missing from her home in Norfolk, VA and son Tyrie Jones of Eatontown; sister Hazel C. Mill of St. Albany, NY; William McClendon of Chicago and Sammie McClendon of Florida; two grandchildren Yasmeen Jones-Muhammad and Kai Alexis Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
