Charles N. Herbert “Chuck” was born September 15, 1958, in Neptune, NJ. He passed away peacefully leaving behind a legacy of hard work, determination, and kindness. A man of many talents, Chuck had a lifelong passion for watching sports or under the hood of a car, he approached every challenge with skill and dedication. He was known for his ability to fix just about anything and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone. Charles spent 35 hard years working at Delisa and Theo Enterprise.
He is predeceased by his parents Mary Louise McKnight-Herbert and William Elias Herbert, brother James McKnight (Butch) and the mother of his children Denise Cranshaw.
Charles is survived by his five children Charles Cranshaw CJ (Yvelisse Lopez) of Asbury Park, NJ, Rayna Herbert, Deshana Cranshaw both of Toms River, NJ, William Herbert of Florida, also a child he raised like his own Troy Herbert; three brothers David McKnight of Newark, NJ, Derek Herbert of Asbury Park, NJ, and Lorrin Herbert of Virginia Beach, VA; 2 sisters Brenda McKnight of Maryland and Rhonda Herbert of Eatontown, NJ; 12 grandchildren that will truly miss him; his favorite aunts Barbara Deckie of Cliffwood, NJ and Mary Lou Doggett of Neptune, NJ as well as a host of family, friends and cousins that will truly miss him.
