Christine Virginia Short, 87, was born on December 16, 1930.  She was born to the late Samuel Wall and Fannie Johnson-Wall in Long Branch in 1930.  Christine passed away surrounded by her family at Monmouth Medical Center on July 3, 2018.

Except for a short period of time in Sea Bright, Chris lived her life in Long Branch and was a graduate of the Long Branch School system.  During her life she was known as a hard worker and worked as a nurse for many years at the Navesink House in Red Bank, NJ where she retired.

She attended For Word Church located in Tinton Falls, NJ, under the teachings of the late Bishop Richard Worsley.  Traveling, collecting dolls and frequently visiting flea markets on the weekends was something she enjoyed very much.

She is predeceased by her parents Samuel Wall and Fannie Johnson Wall, brother Charles Wall and son Wayne Short.

She is survived by companion Phillip Green; son Kenneth Short Sr., sisters Mrs. Florence Johnson of Hollywood, Fl., Mrs. Audrey Robinson of Neptune, NJ; brothers Mr. Samuel Wall of Eatontown, NJ and Mr. Karim Rehem (Christopher Wall) of Neptune, NJ; grandchildren Felicia Worsley (husband Richard), Erica Short, Danielle Adams (husband Stephen), Wayne Bell (wife Linda), Kenneth Short Jr., Constance Ellicott, Wayne Moore; 7 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Special thanks to all of the Nurses, Nurses Aids and staff at Monmouth Medical Center.

Special thanks to all those who gave up their time to visit, care for and show lots of love to our Mom, sister and grandmother.  From son Ken, grandchildren, sisters, brothers and family.
