Dale Demitri Davis age 38, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday June 17, 2018.  Born on September 12, 1979 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ to Yvette Davis and Dale Roberts.  He was raised in Long Branch, NJ on Seaview Manor.  "Doozie" as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, knew just about everyone in Long Branch.  

Doozie was baptized at an early age at Second Baptist Church.  Later, he received his Mathematics and was known as Eternal Self "ES."  He attended Long Branch High School where he earned his diploma.  

He loved playing various sports, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.  He played for the Tri-City Sharks, recreational basketball, Football for the Green Wave and would participate in any athletic endeavor that came his way.  Remaining active, Doozie also participated in a Talent Show at Camp Zender.  There he did a MC Hammer performance.  He also won a Daisy Duke contest with his friend at the Center.

He was funny and known for telling jokes, his quick wit and great clapbacks. He was excellent in mathematics.  He was a loving young man who was willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. 

He loved his family and wanted to spend as much time as possible with them.  He always wanted the family together.  From cookouts to bus trips to various clubs, Doozie always wanted his family around him.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Beulah Mae Robinson, his uncle Ronald R. Puryear Sr. and his paternal grandmother Shirley Roberts.

Surviving to cherish his memories are his wife Latifa; children Jamere Davis, Daizee Davis, Saymia Laws and stepson Kazier Martin; parents Yvette Davis and Dale Roberts; brothers Dayon Steward, Michael "Wise" Deas (Yvette), Brian Roberts and Simon Puryear; sisters Tenishia Gaines, Shirleece Roberts-Jackson (John) and Dana Puryear; aunts Belinda Puryear, Kim Roberts and Jeanette Puckett (Vance); uncle James Roberts as well as a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
