Howard Spencer Davis Jr. was born on March 8, 1954, in Oceanport, NJ to Howard Davis, Sr. and Barbara M. Davis.  Howard attended the Long Branch public school system where he graduated Long Branch Senior High School in 1972.

"Little Junie," as he was affectionately known, enjoyed socializing.  It never took much for him to engage in a conversation with anybody.  He also enjoyed going for walks, relaxing to jazz and his favorite artist Sade, reading educational books, biographies, autobiographies and religious studies.  Most of all he enjoyed making priceless memories with his family and loved ones.

Howard worked for many years as a Prep Cook for the Molly Pitcher Inn, Red Bank, NJ as he had a passion for cooking and culinary arts.  He also was employed at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, NJ for multiple years.  Sadly, on September 3, 2018, Howard entered eternal rest at Hackensack Meridian Health-Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ.

He was predeceased by his father Howard Davis Sr. of Red Bank, NJ, his daughter Jamila Whitley of Red Bank, NJ, uncles William "Billy" Lawrence and John "Big Junie" Snell both of Long Branch, NJ.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Barbara Davis of Long Branch, NJ; his daughter Sakeenah Whitley of Asbury Park, NJ; his sister Tina Davis-Peoples (husband-Darryl) of Neptune, NJ; his brother Richard Jake "Muhamine" Davis of Long Branch, NJ; his sister Precious Moore (husband-Gary) of Manchester, NJ; five grandchildren Shakia, Shadae, Shakyii, Shakiyah and Shai; also one great-grandchild K'shan all of New Jersey; his aunt Alice "Jeanie" Miller of Long Branch; nieces Precious, Jazmine and Essence; nephews Kareem "Master-He" and Richard Jr.; great nephews Sha'kim, Sha'kir, Messiah, Freedom and Jah'mel and a great niece Me'Kyah all of New Jersey; as well as a host of cousins, relatives and lifelong friends which he valued each one dearly.
