Jerry George 66, of Long Branch, NJ passed away on January 15, 2023. He was born to the parents of Cecil and Robena George on May 6, 1956, in Havelock, NC. Jerry was reared in the Harlowe, NC community and educated in Craven County public schools. During his youth, Jerry helped in the family’s logging business until his move at the young age of 16 to New Jersey where he made it his permanent home.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers Corry and Willie George and Sister Olinda Nolen.
He is survived by his wife Debra Albritton George; children Vivian Graves, Yasmin Hicks and step-daughter Domiqua Hickson; grandchildren Precious Graves, Princess Graves, Tiana Graves, Mark Fowler, Samaria Simpson (expected in March), Aziere Trimble and Aceon Trimble; sisters Hazel George and Roseine George of Havelock, NC and Amelia George of Newport, NC; brother Anthony George (Mary) of Beaufort, NC; aunts Irma Johnson (Jessie) and Frances George of Beaufort, NC, Dorothy Totten of Blanch, NC, Addie Curry of Leasburg, NC, Rose George and Evelyn George of Havelock, NC; uncles Hillman George (Odessa) of Havelock, NC and Timmy George of Blanch, NC; sister-in-law Elizabeth George; his close friends: Quincy Frazier, Nelson Frazier and Edward Bell, and Kevin, Eddie Thomas and Calvin Peterson.
