INTERMENT
Private

Kaylib Jadon Paul was born on March 31, 2000, at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey.  He passed away unexpectedly at the age of 24 on March 5, 2025.

Growing up in both Long Branch and Asbury Park, Kaylib made friends everywhere he went. He attended elementary school in Asbury Park and continued his education in Long Branch, where he graduated from high school on June 19, 2018.

From an early age, Kaylib had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was playing at the park or riding his bike, he always wanted to be outside. Ever since he learned to dribble at just two years old, basketball became one of his greatest passions, and he continued playing into high school. In addition to sports, Kaylib found joy in music—both listening to it and creating his own to share with the world.

Kaylib was dearly loved and will be profoundly missed by many. He had a passion for loving his family and friends and a rare ability to connect with people in a meaningful and positive way. He adored children and always looked forward to the day he would become a father. Kaylib was charming, loving, respected, humble, compassionate, understanding, loyal, and a mama’s boy (for sure!).

He is survived by his family, who meant everything to him: his mother and stepfather, Stacey Paul and Korrean Johnson; his father, Charles Ellis; his brothers, Kayvon Paul and Kayson Paul; his sisters, Kaylah (Coo) Paul, Kayiah Paul, and NaQuasia (Quay) Anderson; as well as his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

It takes a village to raise a family, and Stacey Paul would personally like to thank the village who played an impactful part in Kaylib’s life. Special thanks to Kaylib’s grandmother, Michele (Nanny) Paul; his aunt, Tina Jenkins; and family friends Wilynn Turner, Nadirah Anderson, and Colleen Jennings.
