Mary Magaline Thompson, daughter of the late James and Olivia Farrow was born on June 14, 1936 in the Adams Creek Community of Craven County, North Carolina.  God called this angel home on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Care One at King James Nursing Facility in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey.

Mary had a sweet, loving and caring heart.  Children loved her and always gravitated to her because of her kindness.  She was also very free spirited.  She thought it was nothing to pick up and move up and down the coast.  She planted roots in New Jersey, Washington, DC, Georgia, Florida and North Carolina - usually relocating to be close to her family who she loved very much.  She will be remembered for her wit, her smile, her laugh and all the nicknames she has given her family members.  Mary loved the Lord and her favorite scripture was Psalm 23.  Before becoming ill, she joined Zion Temple AME Zion Church in the Adams Creek Community of Havelock, North Carolina.

Mary is predeceased by her parents; her 3 brothers Columbus Steward, Spencer Steward and James Farrow; 2 sisters her twin sister Mabel Hill and her sister Christine Dunn; 3 children Herbert Charles Thompson Jr, Shirley Thompson and William Thompson; a granddaughter Cynthia Thompson; and we are sure she will be met with open arms by Herbert Charles Thompson Sr., who she wed in Holy Martrimony on January 19, 1953.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter Dorothy Thompson of Asbury Park, NJ and a son Jesse Lee Hamilton Sr. of Newark, NJ; two sisters Eunice Medler of Red Bank, NJ and Alvina Thompson of Tallahassee, Florida.  One sister-in-law Mildred Hollins of Orlando, Florida; brother-in-laws Andrew Thompson Sr. of Cottondale, Florida; Moses Thompson of Neptune, NJ; Ervin Thompson Sr. of Red Bank, NJ; two granddaughters Anita Thompson of Red Bank, NJ and Jessnia Hamilton of Lakewood, NJ; seven grandsons Julius Thompson of Essex, Maryland, Jason Thompson of Asbury Park, NJ; Jerome (Jessie) Thornton of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jessie Hamilton Jr. of Long Branch, NJ, Keith Thornton of Red Bank, NJ, Tyrell and Leequan Hamilton of Lakewood, NJ; thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her deeply.
