Ollie Bell Williams Perry transitioned into the presence of the Lord quietly at home May 15, 2018. She was affectionately known as "Pump." Ollie was born in Florence, South Carolina on April 27, 1931. She attended public school and graduated from Huntington High School in Newport News, Virginia.
Ollie's hobby was styling and sewing her own clothes (they were beautiful). Ollie was employed by Mr. D's Sports Factory, Bridge Ave., Red Bank, NJ, Perkin Elmer, Oceanport, NJ and Concurrent Computer, Oceanport, NJ. Later she retired to her own business which she operated "P-ENTERPRISE," Bank Street and Shrewsbury Ave., Red Bank, NJ.
At an early age she attended Greater Walter's Temple AME Zion Church, Newport News, VA. Ollie was a baptized member of Calvary Baptist Church, Red Bank, NJ. She also was an active member of the Flower Club.
She was predeceased by her parents Arthur Sr. and Heger Lee Williams, her devoted husband Walter B. Perry Sr., her son Roger B. Perry and sister Gloria Jean Gilchrist.
Leaving behind to cherish Ollie's loving memories is her son, Walter B. "Butch" Jr. and his wife Connie Perry; two grandsons Jason Perry and Ian Perry; one granddaughter Lean Yerke, one great-granddaughter Olivia Perry; one brother Arthur Williams Jr., Hampton, VA; two sisters Leila "Gussie" Seward, Red Bank, NJ and Yvonne Lee, Newport News, VA; one sister-in-law Ollie B. John Perry, Tinton Falls, NJ; one daughter-in-law Sylvia Perry, Neptune, NJ and one brother-in-law Ronald Seward, Red Bank, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family & friends who all held a special place in her heart.
