Rosala Hicks, born Rosala Walton was born on January 22, 1951. She was the daughter of Master SG Winger and Ernestine in Oceanport, NJ Fort Monmouth Military Base.
Rosala transitioned peacefully the evening of February 27, 2018 of natural causes.
Rosala graduated from Long Branch High School in Long Branch, NJ and went to secretarial training to follow. This lead her to employment at Electronic Associates Inc. in West Long Branch, NJ. She retired after 25 years of dedicated service.
She was an active member of Second Baptist Church of Long Branch, NJ. There she served as an usher and assisted with various functions and services of the church until she took ill.
Rosala was a member of Eastern Star Organization. She took pride in her Christian duties and organization affiliations. During the 1980's she was the eloquent voice announcer heard on Sunday mornings for the local broadcast "The Oscar Shaw Gospel Show." She enjoyed poetry, fashion, music, dancing and was always asked to partake in fashion shows. Rosala carried herself with Grace and she is resting in Grace. The Lord has put peace to her journey.
Rosala leaves to mourn and cherish her memories her loving family her husband Mr. Leea Hicks, mother Mrs. Ernestine Miller, brother Christopher Miller Sr., daughter Ronette Brodie, grandchildren Diamond, Ryan, Chanell, great-grandson Amare, nephew Christopher Miller Jr. and a host of loving step children as well as extended family and friends.
