Stella Lewis Bowles, 77 of Long Branch earned her wings January 11, 2018 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch.  Stella was born in Matawan, NJ to Theresa "Gussie" Phillip Lewis and John Daniel Lewis.  

Stella was raised in Red Bank, NJ and attended Red Bank public schools.  She married Thomas Bowles Sr. on January 19, 1962 and to this union was born 8 children Helen, Tammy, Tanya, Thomas, Timothy, Terry, Tina and Tracy.  Stella was employed at various jobs; the last being Molly Pitcher in Red Bank, NJ.  Stella loved listening to music, having family gatherings and reflecting on family memories.  She was well liked and a caring individual who was willing to do anything to help others.  January 19th was a very special day to Stella Bowles, it was the first time her husband to be had ever given her a kiss and was the day they tied the knot.  Stella would have  turned 78 today and would have been married 55 years.  Stella was predeceased by her parents Theresa and John Daniel Lewis, three daughters Tammy, Tanya and Helen; two brothers John Lewis Sr. and Walter Lewis.

Stella leaves to cherish her memories her five children Thomas Bowles, Timothy Bowles, Terry Bowles, Tina Bowles (Harris) and Tracy Fann; one daughter-in-law Dorothy Bowles; one sister Eleanor Lewis; one brother Douglas Smith; sister-in-law Mildred Lewis; brother-in-law David Bowles; fifteen grandchildren Tanesha Daniels, Ty'mia Bowles, Terry Jr., Terrance Bowles (Amber), Tamikia Thigpen, Trina Bowles (Dean), William Bowles (Randelle), Tereke Bowles, Tangaray Sil, Tinisha Wilder, Tiara Wilder, Craig Johnson, Darnell Johnson, Richard Johnson all of whom reside in Long Branch, NJ and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Would like to give a special thanks to her nieces Lisa Phillips, Eleanor Tyler and godson Robert Phillips.
