Koreen Symone Skinner (Reed), age 52, departed this life on July 2, 2026, at her home in Keansburg, New Jersey, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born in Long Branch, New Jersey, Koreen was blessed to call many places home throughout her life. She spent most of her childhood between Long Branch and Red Bank, New Jersey, and held a special love for the years she lived in Brooklyn, New York, where she created countless cherished memories and lifelong friendships.

For more than 21 years, Koreen faithfully served as the Office Manager at Manhattan Fire & Safety Corp. LLC in New York City. She was known for her unwavering work ethic, dedication, and commitment to excellence. Her coworkers became much more than colleagues—they became family. Even while courageously battling illness, Koreen continued commuting to work until the day before her passing, a testament to her strength, resilience, and determination.

Of all the roles she held, none meant more to Koreen than being a mother. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her beloved son, Warren Orlando Sweet II, affectionately known as "My Love." Whether you knew Koreen personally, followed her on social media, or simply crossed paths with her, it was immediately evident that her son was her heartbeat. Warren, the cherished and miraculous son of Koreen Symone Skinner (Reed) and her predeceased longtime companion Warren Orlando Sweet Sr., was the center of her world and the recipient of her unconditional love.

Koreen also shared an extraordinary bond with her mother, Shirley Salley (Reed). Their relationship was built on unwavering love, friendship, and daily conversations. She was the kind of daughter who never allowed a day to pass without checking in on her mother.

Anyone who knew Koreen knew she was unapologetically herself. She possessed a fiery spirit, a quick wit, and an unforgettable sense of humor. She spoke her mind without hesitation, loved deeply without judgment, and embraced people exactly as they were. There was never any uncertainty about where Koreen stood, and there was never a shortage of laughter when she was around. Her generosity knew no bounds. Koreen opened both her heart and her home to those in need, offering love, guidance, encouragement, and support whenever it was needed most. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, authenticity, laughter and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Koreen leaves to cherish her precious memory her beloved son, Warren Orlando Sweet II; her cherished godson, Dana Boynton ("Dunkin"); her loving mother and stepfather, Shirley and Lamont Salley; and her father-in-love, Warren Sweet. She is also survived by her siblings, Mario (DeShonnda) Johnson, Lamont Johnson, Sukki Reed, Maureen Reed, Gregory Blount, her siblings in love; Summer (Dyshon) Sweet-Jones, Chae (Tracy) Sweet, and Reubon Sweet; her aunts and uncles, Lillie (Michael) Williams, Virginia (Michael) Barbour, Alexander Annigew, and Joyce Blount; along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and special loves, all whose lives were forever touched by her love.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we rejoice in knowing that Koreen's love, laughter, strength, and unforgettable spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone blessed to know her. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who carry her memory forward.
