Joel Rice was born April 26, 1961, to Tarby Rice and Flora Gosha, in Neptune, NJ. Joel was the youngest of 9 siblings; he attended high school in (Morganville) Marlboro Twp.
Joel moved to Freehold, where he raised his 3 children. For 10 years he worked at Walmart as a sales associate. He was known for his big smile and was full of laughter. Joel loved his job and enjoyed helping people.
Joel was predeceased by his father Tarby Rice, sister Diane Kelly, brother Walter Rice, Daryle Rice and his son Joshua Crook.
Joel leaves his legacy of love to his mother Mrs. Flora Gosha of Matawan, NJ; two sons Joel Crook and Damien Crook; one daughter Sadie Crook of NJ; sister Denise Rice of PA; four brothers Tarby Rice Jr. of Perth Amboy, NJ, Gary Rice of Keansburg, NJ, Gregory Rice of Keansburg, NJ and Rod Rice of Middletown, NJ; as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
