Lawson Funeral Home was established in 2001 by Steven S. Lawson in Neptune, NJ. Always in pursuit of his dreams to one day own and operate the funeral home out of it's own location, the business moved to Tinton Falls, NJ. A property was purchased in 2008 but unfortunately the US economy was in economic peril, and the project was placed on the shelf for some time.

The building which housed the "Flock Funeral Home" at 243 Broadway, Long Branch, NJ was purchased in 2015 by Steven S. Lawson. It is now with great pride that we offer you the Lawson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC.

Steven S. Lawson is a 1983 graduate of Keyport High School, Keyport, NJ. He later attended and graduated from Upsala College East Orange, NJ in 1988 earning a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in management. Upon graduation from Upsala he then pursued his life's ambition to become a Funeral Director, and enrolled at the prestigious American Academy McCallister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City, graduating in 1989. Acquiring a New York State Funeral Director's License in 1991 through Benta's Funeral Home and then a New Jersey Funeral Director's License in 1997 under James H. Hunt Funeral Home in Asbury Park, NJ. 

Steven married his college sweetheart Charlene (Davis) in 1995. They have two daughters Faith and Hope. Steven and his family reside in Neptune, NJ since 1997.
