Wyatt Larsen Wilson, born June 8, 1966, in Neptune, New Jersey, was the son of W. Lewis and Salania Wilson. Wyatt passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 25, 2026.
At an early age, he became a member of Good Samaritan Bright Star Church.
Wyatt was a man of quiet strength, unwavering character, and deep conviction. After graduating from Neptune High School in 1984, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. During his distinguished military service, he earned the Good Conduct Medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, a Meritorious Mast, and the Expert Rifle Badge (4th Award).
The discipline, honor, and pride he developed as a Marine remained with him throughout his life. He received an honorable discharge on October 23, 1989, earning the lifelong respect and admiration of those who knew him.
Following his military service, Wyatt worked for many years at PVC in Eatontown, New Jersey, until the company closed. He then joined Gerdau Ameristeel, later known as CMC Steel, in Sayreville, New Jersey, where he dedicated more than 20 years. Wyatt was a truly hardworking and resilient man, and he possessed an incredible work ethic. He was never one to ask for days off, taking immense pride in putting in the work, day after day, regardless of the challenge.
In February 2005, Wyatt became a volunteer firefighter for President Park Fire Department in Sayreville NJ. He was Vice President from 2012 to 2013 and awarded life membership in 2014.
Often described as a gentle giant, Wyatt was reserved by nature, yet his presence was unmistakable. He appreciated life's simple pleasures, including reflecting on his military service, collecting hats and firearms, enjoying a good stout or craft beer, and most of all, savoring a fine cigar.
While Wyatt was soft spoken and kept to himself, those who meant the world to him always knew it. His love was defined by an unwavering dedication to the safety, security, and well-being of his family and friends. To know Wyatt was to know you were protected, supported, and fiercely cared for.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Willie Wilson, Jr.
Along with his parents, W. Lewis and Salania Wilson of Tinton Falls, he leaves behind cherished memories of love, strength, and devotion in the hearts of his beloved wife, Susan Lancaster Wilson; his children, Tanasia, Samara, and Kayden Wilson all of Sayreville; his mother-in-law, Essie Shorter Lancaster of Easton, Pennsylvania; his sisters, Crystal (Terrance) Hills of Tinton Falls and Azelia (Dave) Hudson of Neptune; his niece, Anissa Hudson; his great-nephew/niece, Josiah and Jade; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
