OBITUARY
SERVICE DETAILS
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Alfred Rahman Leeks, born 10/15/77 in Long Branch, NJ to Deloris Reed and Alfred E. Leeks, departed from this life on 6/10/26 peacefully at home. Alfred affectionately known as “Juicy” to those who grew up with him in Neptune Village, “Rahman” to family and close friends, and simply “Leeks” or “Alfred” to his lifelong brother-friends.
Alfred was a proud graduate of Asbury Park High School, where he was a true Blue Bishop at heart. From his early days in Pop Warner football through his senior year of high school, he displayed a passion for the game that remained with him throughout his life. A devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Alfred never missed an opportunity to cheer on his team.
Alfred possessed a unique sense of humor and was a comedian in his own right. His laughter was contagious, and his quick wit could brighten any room. Though naturally quiet and a homebody by nature, he had an enormous heart and was fiercely protective of those he loved, especially his mother, children, and siblings.
Above all else, Alfred cherished his children, Rai’Ayna and Isaiah. They were the center of his world, and he found great joy in spending time with them, spoiling them, and creating lasting memories. His love and devotion as a father were evident in everything, he did.
A lifelong learner, Alfred attended Virginia State University and later earned an Associate’s Degree from Rutgers University. Throughout his career, he held positions with Canada Dry, Monmouth Park Racetrack, Department of Sanitation, Garden State Toll System, Circuit City, and CDW, where he was respected for his dedication and work ethic.
One of Alfred’s greatest passions was cooking. He loved experimenting with new recipes, creating delicious meals, and sharing his culinary creations with family and friends. Whether gathered around a dinner table or simply enjoying each other’s company, Alfred found happiness in bringing people together.
Alfred was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Deloris “Lois” Reed, his sister Felicia Reed, his maternal grandparents, and his paternal grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving children, Rai’Ayna and Isaiah Leeks of Forked River; his father, Alfred Eugene Leeks of Neptune; his siblings, Marquisha “Mone’t” Leeks of Toms River, Shayla Derrell of Georgia, Khayla Derrell of Ocean Township, Tyquan Banks-Reed of Neptune, and Tonna Leeks of Pennsylvania; his nieces, Deja and Brianna Leeks of Toms River; his children’s mother, Sherell Clark; and his lifelong friends and extended family, including Letisha “Tee” Williams, Shavon Adams, Hadassah Curtis, Uncle Rickey, Eartha "Mae" Johnson, Rickey "Lil Rick" McClaren, Craig and Derrick Griggs, Ahmed Lawson, Tyron McAllister, Henry “Dise” Winn, Michael “Wise” Deas, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Alfred’s kindness, loyalty, humor, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered always. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and in the cherished memories shared by those who knew and loved him.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to support Alfred’s children.
