Deaconess Alberta Bibbens Williams, daughter of the late John and Mabel Bibbens, was born on August 28, 1930 in Sandy Point, Virginia.  Deaconess Alberta Williams departed this earthly life on Thursday, May 19, 2022.

At an early age, she became a member of the Zion Baptist Church, Tucker Hill, Virginia under the Pastorate of the late Reverend W. E. Taylor.  She held various positions in the church.  She moved to Red Bank, NJ in August of 1976.  She soon joined the Calvary Baptist Church, Red Bank, NJ.  A few years later, she met and married the late Deacon Daniel Williams.  She then joined her husband at the St. Paul Baptist Church, Red Bank, NJ where she would serve faithfully until her illness prevented her from attending.

She was the President of the Ushers Ministry at St. Paul Baptist Church until she was unable to do so.  She was a lifetime member of the Seacoast Ushers Union and a member of the Seacoast Missionary Baptist Association. She loved the Lord and was always willing to share God’s Word with everyone.  Deaconess Williams was truly a mother to many.  She has a way of making everybody feel special.  To know her was to truly love her.

Deaconess Alberta Williams was educated in the Kinsale Public School System.  She worked in several Oyster houses and as a housekeeper to raise her ten children.

She was predeceased in death by her parents John and Mabel Bibbens; her devoted husband, Deacon Daniel Williams; a daughter, Maryann Turner; three sons, Larry, Leon, and Earl Bibbens; two brothers, John and James Bibbens, and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Campbell.

Deaconess Williams leaves to cherish her loving memory: four daughters, Gladys Smith of Sandy Point, VA, Darlene Bibbens of Neptune, NJ, Jane Mitchell (George) of Neptune, NJ and Shirley Bibbens of Tappahannock, VA.; three sons, Apostle John Bibbens (Adraine) Cabin Point, VA, Martin Bibbens (Sheila), Farnham, VA, Michael Bibbens (Geraldine), Neptune, NJ, and a daughter-in-law, Sterling Bibbens, Hague, VA; grandchild/daughter: Beverly Phillips (Ernest): adopted son: Greg Roberts, Jacksonville, NC; Thirty three grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and special friends.
