INTERMENT
Private

Anthony J. Crudup "Tony," 70 of Neptune, NJ was born on July 19, 1953 in Neptune, NJ. He gained his wings on December 26, 2023, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center with his daughter by his side.

Growing up Tony attended the Bangs Ave. School of Asbury Park, NJ and he later moved to Long Branch public school system. After graduating high school he attended Monmouth University, where he achieved a Bachelors Degree (BA) in Business Administration. Prior to retiring in 2015 he was employed with Raphael and Associates as Senior Property Adjuster. In his spare time Tony enjoyed preparing his family and friends Federal and State income taxes.

In August 2023, Tony celebrated 32 years of Sobriety; he also enjoyed attending his NA (Narcotics Anonymous) meetings as well as chairing them. He truly enjoyed his NA family; and they meant the world to him. If you knew Tony if he said that he was attending a meeting and if you needed a ride you knew that you could count on him to pick you up.

Tony loved spending time with his family as well as attending family functions. His precious moments were inviting his siblings, nieces, nephews and granddaughter over for some of his fried fish, steak and spaghetti dinners; and just listen to his big music collection. He touched a lot of people and played uncle/father to his nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a loving, caring father, brother, uncle, cousin, Pop Pop and friend, he was a mentor to all.

During his lengthy illness his faith in God sustained him and he was an inspiration to all who visited him. He believed in prayer and practiced what he preached therefore you would never see or hear him complain.

He was predeceased by his mother Frances Newman-Crudup, father Crudup Jr., his fraternal grandparents Slyvester Crudup and Reverend Geneva Williams-Crudup, his maternal grandparents Elmer Newman and Naomi Newman, the late former Robin Crudup, brother Slyvester Crudup III, Ronald Crudup and sister Marsha Sweet.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his daughter Tiffany Stradford (Jeffrey), granddaughter Malaysia Thomas, grandson Jakim Stradford, great granddaughter Kamani Stradford, sister Aneva Crudup-Lee (Michael) all of Neptune, NJ; brother Bobby Crudup of Brooklyn, NY; nieces Tanesha Sweet, Tiwan Sweet, Tanya Sweet and Asya Stokes; nephews Todd Sweet, Aikem Crudup, Mark Crudup and Danny Crudup; great nieces Veronica Sweet (Goddaughter) and Jacklyn Sweet (Jackie); great nephews Dominique Sweet (Godson) and Todd Sweet Jr.; great-great nephews Tristan, Aiden, Malcolm, Martin, and Taylen. This was his Tribe that he was 100% devoted to with his whole heart.
