Arretta Warren Lane, age 96 of Long Branch, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday June 22, 2021. Born in Pendleton, NC she lived in Long Branch since the 1960's. She was baptized at an early age at First Baptist Church in Conway, NC.
Arretta, retired after many years from Wheelock Signal as a Machine Operator in Long Branch. She worked for some years with a custodian cleaning service.
Auntie's true work was caring for and bringing joy to those around her, especially her family. She often commented on the importance of family and the joy she received from family interaction. This is why she is a three generation Auntie.
Auntie is predeceased by her parents Willie Mack Warren and Namie Tincie Evertte Warren; 3 brothers Andrew, Willie Mack and George; 4 sisters Zenie, Savanah, Jessie and Abby; 2 sister-in-laws Bernice Warren and Willie Mae Warren.
Auntie leaves to cherish her memory nieces and nephews Barbara and Cornelius Williams of Long Branch, Jessie Harrington, George and Susie Warren of Long Branch, Ernest and Betty Jean Warren of Norfolk, VA and Collin and Diana Warren of Seaboard, NC, Mary Ellen and Marion Warren of Long Branch; many great-great nieces and nephews as well as a host of relatives and friends.
