Brenda Faye Wooten passed away peacefully at her home in Asbury Park, NJ on August 5, 2019. She was 65 years old. Brenda was born on August 26, 1953 to Mary Wooten in Bailey, NC. She graduated from Asbury Park High School. After graduation and into adulthood she was employed at Consolidated Laundry in Neptune, NJ.
Brenda was adored by her friends and family. She was a gentle, loving and kind lady. Her hobbies were watching movies, reading and working with arts and crafts. She was an awesome aunt, sister, mother, cousin and friend.
Brenda was predeceased by her mother and her son Philip W. Wooten.
She is survived by her sister Linda K. Fletcher; nieces Yolanda Marie Wooten, Shabaka C. Fletcher and LaTonya N. Elliott and a host of cousins
Her favorite scripture was Psalm 28:7-8
The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts in him, and he helps me, my heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.
