A Time to Be Born………

Clifford was affectionately called “Cliff” by all who loved and knew him. He was born on March 17, 1952, in the “Old Field” Section of St. Stephen, South Carolina.

A Time to Learn…………

Cliff was educated in the Berkeley County School System. He also attended the Trident Technical School where he received a certificate in Automotive Mechanic Repair.

A Time for Spiritual Growth…………

Cliff accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as a youth and joined St. Mathew Baptist Church in St. Stephen, South Carolina, where he served the Lord as his Savior.

A Time to Work……………

In October 1973, Cliff left home and took up residency in Asbury Park, NJ. There he stayed with his uncle and aunt (Alfred and Mary Davis(deceased), until he joined the United States Army. Cliff served in the Army and the Reserves for Fifteen years. Upon returning to New Jersey, he worked on several jobs, one being the United States Post Office. His last job was with Taxi service Citi Taxi.

A Time to live and love…………………

Cliff was a loving, quiet and private person. He loved everyone and he gave his all to help anyone. In 1985, he met the late Darlene Hocutt and married her in 1988. To this union two children were born. Cliff enjoyed gardening, mowing, watching football games and cooking. He loved to dress and was always color coordinated down to his socks, shoes and his ‘wide-brimmed” hats. Most of all, he loved his wife, children, grand-children and family.

A Time to Die……………

Cliff quietly translated from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at 12:40 PM at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
