Crystal Nichelle Glenn, daughter of the late Willie Andrew Glenn and Mac Ann Glenn-Martin was born March 22, 1969, in Neptune, NJ. That fiery Aries who loved purple transitioned to a new phase of life on October 26, 2024. She was the oldest of four children. Crystal was educated in the Asbury Park School system and graduated from Asbury Park High School in 1987.

Always ambitious and outspoken, Crystal began working and making her own money at an early age beginning with local department stores, proceeding to Brisbane, a shelter for children with developmental challenges, finally working for the Division of Youth and Family services for the state of New Jersey. Crystal was employed in this career when her physical health began to fail but her desire was always to “get back to the job.” Crystal’s enthusiasm and zeal for work, life, and travel will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Crystal was preceded by her father, Willie (Will) Glenn, maternal grandparents Deacon Mack and Bucilla Thompson, of Toccoa, GA and paternal grandparents Jesse and Ruth Kendle of Asbury Park, NJ.

Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Mae Ann Glenn Martin; special friend James Coleman; one sister Michelle Martin, South Carolina; three brothers Willie (Joannie), South Carolina, Tara (Hillary) and I Unique Glenn, New Jersey; sister-cousin, J. Aisha Johnson; special uncle and aunt, Jesse and Phalia Kendle and Sara and Lerome Johnson; aunt Carol Martin, Neptune, NJ; uncles Steve and George (Mary) Thompson and James Richie; god-daughters Kendle, Kianni and Krista Davis and a host of nieces Jaz, Morgan (Alexis), Dymin, Brea, Briyanna, Taisha, and Ashley; nephews Taras, (Tag), Josh and Malik; cousins Joshua and Jairus Kendle; God-parents Rev. Vincent Keyla Newman as well as a host of friends, co-workers and church family.
