Dolores Evans Brown was born on February 11, 1958 in Long Branch, NJ. She graduated from Long Branch High School in Long Branch, NJ in 1976. After graduation she worked at Monmouth Medical Center as a Supervisor of the mailroom, while raising her son Duane Earl Evans. Dolores also worked as a Beautician and loved to do hair and makeup.
She moved to Paterson, NJ where she married and worked in retail. She later moved to New York City, NY. She loved living in Brooklyn, NY where she settled down and lived her life to the fullest everyday.
Dolores will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend. She had a deep compassion to trust, love and give a person the benefit of the doubt. She believed in the Resurrection Hope for all as outlined in Acts 24:15 and John 5:28 and 29.
Dolores was preceded in death by her oldest brother Willie Evans Jr. in 2007, her father Willie B. Evans in 2014 and her mother Bettie Lois Evans in 2017.
She is survived by her son Duane Earl Evans of Newport News, VA; four sisters Shirley Evans of Whiting, NJ, Willene Jones and her husband Nathaniel of Manchester, NJ, Bettina Evans of Raytown, MO and Phyllis Evans of Asbury Park, NJ; three brothers Stewart Odyssey Mills of Asbury Park, NJ, Donald Evans and his wife Teshara Blueford Evans of Long Branch, NJ and Winslow Evans and his wife Pam of NJ; her grandchildren Dequan Duane Evans, Jailleen, Faith, Samya, Giovan Evans and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
