Eleazahar Gonzalez was born on April 6, 1961 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He moved to Long Branch with his late father Julio Gonzalez and late mother Laura Gonzalez along with his three brothers, Ethiern Gonzalez (deceased), Milton Gonzalez and Ricardo Gonzalez in 1965.
He attended Long Branch High School, received his GED and then went on to join the Army National Guard in 1979. He was honorably discharged in 1997.
For those of you that knew Eleazahar very well, knew his biggest passion was to fish. He would spend sometimes days at a time at the beach fishing. He was a lifelong resident of Long Branch then moved to Eatontown. He moved back to Long Branch until the day of his death. He lived in Long Branch with his wife of 5 years Amber Gonzalez and their children Petra, Eli, Anna and Elijah.
Eleazahar is survived by his wife Amber, their children Petra, Eli, Anna, Eiljah and also his four other children, Julio, Amy, Zalea and Tiffany along with his grandchildren, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
