Eula Littlejohn Carroll was born on September 17, 1923 to the late William Henry Carroll and Mary Lou Tayler in Franklin County, North Carolina.  Eula transitioned from earth to glory on Monday March 11, 2019 with her loving family by her bedside.

Eula joined the Pearls Chapel Church in Centerville, North Carolina and was baptized at the age of 16.  Eula met and married Lonnie Carroll (No relation) in the summer of 1949.  To this union 8 children were born.  In 1955 they moved to New Jersey for better job opportunities.  Eula upon arriving worked many small jobs to help support her growing family.  Then she was blessed with a job at Midland Glass located in Cliffwood, New Jersey where she happily retired after working there for 20 years.

Eula loved the Lord and attended services at the Pentecostal House of Prayer, an extension Church from Brooklyn, New York, that was located where now Mount Sinai in Morganville currently stands.  Her pastor there was the Reverend Mother Edwards.  Eula and some of her children were blessed to be baptized in the Raritan Bay at the Keyport pier location.

Eula enjoyed cooking and was known in the neighborhood for her famous homemade biscuits, if there was no jelly, cheese, syrup, butter or ketchup, they were just fine without any.  She was a great story teller, remembering things that happened long ago.  Eula loved to fish, play bingo, hum and sing spirituals.  One of her favorite songs was "Precious Lord Take My Hand."

Eula loved her family and friends dearly but she held a special place in her heart for her grandkids.

Eula wasn't a high school graduate but held a PHD in Love.  Eula was a woman of resilience, integrity and brutal honesty.  She believed in calling a thing a thing and if it wasn't right she expected you to fix it.  She made love and respect her motto.  She will surely be missed by all who loved and knew her.  Our hearts are saddened but are truly blessed to be left with a legacy of love and wisdom that she leaves behind.

Eula was predeceased by her husband Lonnie, daughter Odessa Manley, and son Robert Earl Carroll.

She leaves to mourn 2 sons Lonnie (Helen) of Cliffwood Beach, NJ and Bernile (Denise) of Keasby, NJ; 5 daughters Annie Carroll of the home in Cliffwood, NJ, Carol Peterson (Larry) of Matawan, NJ, Dorothy Jean Gumbs (Sean) of Cliffwood, NJ, Janice Carroll of Newport News, VA and Judith Carroll of Long Branch, NJ.  She also had a  host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren as well as a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
