Frank T. Washington, 89 of Keyport, NJ made his heavenly transition on January 7, 2022 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, NJ after a brief illness.
Frank was born in Union Beach, NJ to Obie and Gracie Murray Washington on July 30, 1932. The family then moved to Keyport where he spent his formidable years. He served his country honorably in the United States Army.
Frank's favorite artist was his brother-in-law Earnest Scott, who played at Jerry Byers Club in Matawan. Frank loved football and played semi-pro football & baseball with the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team in his early days. He also was the uncle of "Hall of Famer" Dallas Cowboys Drew Pearson. He was the former husband of Virginia Ruth Washington who passed away in November 29, 2013. He worked for over 40 years at United Airlines as a Customer Service representative.
Frank is predeceased by his parents Obie and Grace Washington and siblings William Washington, Percy Washington, George Washington, Minnie Pearson Schanck, Clara Harris and Ethel Scott.
Frank is survived by his 3 sons Leland T. Washington of Newark, NJ, Kyle F. Washington of Delray Beach, FL and Mark Washington of Clark, NJ as well a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family and friends.
