George B. Lewis Sr. 84, of Neptune, NJ affectionately known as "Chickenman," departed this life peacefully early on September 5, 2019.
George was one of 15 children born in Long Branch, NJ on October 27, 1934 to Ralph and Leola Lewis. He was raised in Red Bank, NJ and graduated from the Red Bank public school system.
He was married to Anna Mae Andrews and to this union 3 children were born. George was employed by Allied Signal later known as Bendix Eatontown, NJ. Chickenman loved listening to music, his cars, pets and throwing back some Miller highlife while cooking on the grill.
George was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Lola Mae (Jackson) Lewis, a son George B. Lewis Jr., 1 grandchild Saahron, 4 brothers Ralph, Howard, Hobart and Andrew Lewis, 2 sisters Alice Parker and Frances Anderson. Also his dogs Joc, Kojack, Peanut 1, Peanut 2 and Pepper.
He leaves to cherish his memories a daughter Celeste (Saahron) Jones, son Frank G. Lewis Sr. (Josclyn), Darryl R. Lewis; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; 2 brothers Donald and Virgil Lewis; 5 sisters Pauline Booker, Leola Williams, Doris Brown, Ruth Nicholsol, Shirley Osborne and a host of nieces and nephews.
