Gregory Keith Tutt Jr. affectionately known as “Lil Greg” was born on December 22, 2000 to Gregory Keith Tutt Sr. and the late Gwendolyn Yvonne Chestnut in Long Branch, NJ. He was called home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2023.
Greg grew up in Keansburg, NJ and graduated from Keansburg High School in 2019 where he also played football. During the last few years after graduation, he worked numerous jobs, but he was most recently employed as a Lawn Specialist with TruGreen in Farmingdale, NJ. Growing up, Greg followed behind his father learning how to repair cars. This inspired Greg to work odd jobs as a freelance mechanic fixing cars for family, friends and whomever needed a helping hand. Greg loved cars and motorcycles and you knew when he was coming down the road if you listened to the loud rev of his engine and the pop of his beloved BMW.
Greg was most known for his smile, respectfulness, overprotective spirit and great sense of humor. Greg would help anyone in need and truly left a mark on everyone’s heart that he came across. He was “the community’s son/little brother” as he had multiple extended families who loved him dearly and treated him as their own. He was an amazing son, brother, boyfriend, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend and he will forever be missed.
Greg is preceded in death by his mother Gwendolyn Yvonne Chestnut of Keansburg, NJ; his maternal grandmother, Iris Elaine Chestnut of New Brunswick, NJ; his aunt Dorothy L. Tutt and uncles Scott A. Tutt and Leroy A. Tutt Sr. all of Long Branch, NJ.
He leaves to mourn his passing his father Gregory Keith Tutt Sr. and Tutt’s fiancé, Syvona Stovall both of Keansburg, NJ; his loving girlfriend Alexis Dombroski of Bayville, NJ; his sisters Tawania Chestnut Matos of Easton, PA, Ashley Chestnut of Philadelphia, PA, Javairia Chestnut of Cliffwood, NJ, Jaleesa Nichols of North Carolina, Iteasha Nichols and Jazmine Nichols of Florida; his soon to be stepbrothers James Stovall and Darnell Stovall of Long Branch NJ; his nephews and nieces Tyler Lorjuste, Seven Hoskins, Jeremiah Joshua, Akira Montanez, A’jaela Nichols, CJ Foster; his paternal grandmother Shirley Tutt of Long Branch, NJ; his aunts Dolores Tutt of Highlands, NJ, Patricia Tutt and Denise Tutt of Long Branch, NJ; his uncle Keller Tutt of Neptune, NJ; his special uncle Henry “D” Holmes Sr. and special aunt Tychelle Holmes both of Howell, NJ; his best friends Henry “Debo” Holmes Jr., Terry Aponte, Breanna Flynn, Liam Reicks, Paulie Alt, Riley Hansen, Paulie Eckleberry and a host of many other loving family members and dear friends.
