Hazel V. Davis was born to the late Wesley and Pearl Hughes on January 20, 1933. She was a lifelong resident of Red Bank, NJ.
Hazel worked as a nurse at both Riverview Medical Center and the Navesink House. In her profession she loved caring for her patients and their needs.
She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Red Bank under the leadership of Dwight Northington, where she served in many ministries. Her favorite was culinary and singing in the senior choir.
Hazel was an avid lover of wrestling WWE. Her family and friends had an inside joke not to call her on the evenings her wrestling shows were on for we knew she would not answer her phone.
Hazel enjoyed traveling, music, cooking big meals on the holidays but most of all she loved her family.
Hazel is predeceased by her husband James Lee, son James "Pee Wee" Lee Jr., three sisters Juanita, Jean and Inez, five brothers Earl, Wesley, Carroll, Hiawatha and Barry.
Hazel is survived by her son Mark E. Davis (Nicole); five grandchildren Iesha (Matt), Shantaree, Anthony "AJ," Jamai, and Mark; five great-grandchildren Shantrel, Tremel, Sy'Ahir, Sabastian and Naomi; special niece Delores Hughes Walker and a host of nieces and nephews.
