Lawrence Perry Jr., affectionately known as MAN, Uncle man and Larry, was born to Larry Perry and Bonita Perry on November 6, 1968, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune NJ. Lawrence lived his early years in Farmingdale, NJ. He moved to Long Branch, NJ, 47 years ago. Lawrence had numerous jobs throughout his lifetime. He loved break dancing, listening to music on his boom box, spending time with his mom, son Michael and nephew Anthony (AKA) Punkie. These memories will surely be missed but never forgotten.
Lawrence is predeceased by his mother Bonita Tagara Battle, his father Larry Perry, grandmothers Virgina Maxine Alexander, and Viola Jackie Warren, three aunts Joanne Alexander, Geraldine Pierce-Willis, and Florence Zamont, two uncles Walter Alexander, and Ricky Perry and one nephew Derrell Alexander.
Surviving are two sisters Theresa, Portsmouth, Va. and Kizzy Hopkins, Suffolk Va., brother Anthony Battle, Long Branch, NJ; son Michael Rodriguez, three grandsons, four granddaughters; brother-in-law Arthur Osborne Portsmouth, Va.; five nephews Anthony Perry, Long Branch, NJ, Omar Perry, Norfolk, Va., Portsmouth, Va., Amere Osbourne, Kileen Texas., and Anthony Battle, VA, niece Lateefah Hickman; two uncles Barry Alexander, Newark, NJ and Rodney Alexander, Keansburg, NJ; three aunts Carol Merritt, Brick, NJ, Sharon Alexander-Robertson, Smyrna, DE and Brenda Alexander, Felton, DE as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and dear family friends.
