Lester E. Wright, Jr., was born March 22, 1942 in Long Branch, NJ to Lester E. and Adele Wright, Sr. He was called home by our Lord and Savior on May 4, 2021 at the age of 79.
Junie, as he was affectionately known, was a lifelong resident of Long Branch. Junie honorably served his Country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a proud graduate of Monmouth University. Junie was retired from the NJ Department of Labor. Junie was a member of the Shore AC. He spent many Cross-Country track seasons officiating the children. He organized the NJ National Junior Olympics COSMIC Running Club sponsored by the Shore AC.
Junie predeceased by his brother, Joseph J. Wright. He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his loss his loving parents, Adele and Lester Wright, Sr. of Long Branch, NJ; two sisters Doreen Wright and Carolyn McCain both of Neptune, NJ; four nephews and two nieces, plus a host of great nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
