On Wednesday April 24, 2019, Loel Reginald Smith, a loving father, stepfather and uncle passed away surrounded by his family at the wonderful age of 95.  Reggie was born on September 28, 1923 in Porters Mountain of Westmoreland, Jamaica.  He attended Mount Peto Primary school from 1929 to 1935.

Reggie's  youth was spent in bassiebaker until he joined the Royal Air Force and fought in World War II.  Upon return from World War II he went to Kingston to live where he joined the work force and worked as a porter for Hagley Park Clinic.  Reggie left the clinic later and started working at the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation until his retirement in 1983.  Upon retirement Reggie moved back to Hanover, Axe-And-Adze where he lived until he migrated to the United States in 2014.

In this lifetime Reggie became an avid reader of the newspaper, completing crossword puzzles.  Whenever he had no more puzzles to do, Reggie would watch TV such as Cricket, Walker Texas Ranger and other older western TV shows he could find.

Reggie was predeceased by his mom and dad, two grandchildren, on brother and three sisters.

He is survived by his sister, Elsa; his children Allison, Sylvia, Dalkeith, Herbert, Beverly, Evadney and Linda; his stepchildren Minerva, Lettecia, Gladstone, Angela, Cynthia, Stervin and Cleve as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
