CPL Markus Lamont Seward, 34 was born July 8, 1987 in Long Branch, NJ. Mark was the baby and had a twin brother Michael Jr. Baby A and Baby B 1 minute apart. He departed this life February 17, 2022.
Markus was born to Regina Dean-Seward and Michael Seward. He was born and raised in Long Branch, NJ. He was active on the football field. He graduated from Long Branch High school in 2006.
Markus joined the US Marine Corp at the age of 18. He traveled the world including, Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries. Markus served 3 wars, Iraqi Freedom and Afghanistan. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He was proud of his commitment to his country, the USA.
Markus enjoyed spending time with his twin brother Mikey, his sister Candi, brother Terrance, nephews and his 5th Ave friends. Markus loved Long Branch.
Markus is predeceased by his grandparents Nana Gertrude Dean, Grandfather Ulysses Davis and Grandmother Juanita Mitchell.
He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Regina and Michael Seward; sister Candance Johnson (Sy Johnson); brothers Terrance Anderson, twin brother Michael Seward and Tariq; nephews Jamere, Mikell and Andre; nieces Mi’chiah, Lailah and Ava; grandfather Everette Mitchell; aunts Eva Dean, Gladys Foster, Julie May Dean, Pia Williams, Monique Mitchell, Nicole Mitchell, Julian; uncles Anthony M. Mitchell, Everett Mitchell, Jr., Benito; biological grandmother Joyce Williams; marine brother Timothy Cogan, Sr.; godson Timothy Cogan, Jr. and his service dog Bailey as well as a host of cousins and loving friends.
