Michelle Ellis Ashton was born January 24, 1964 in the Bronx, NY to the late Frank and Clara Ellis. Michelle moved to Mount Vernon, NY where she attended the Mount Vernon school system. She later moved to Yonkers, NY where she raised her five children. Later, Michelle moved to New Jersey where she settled with her husband Paul Ashton.
Michelle enjoyed helping people and she cared for all who knew her. She also enjoyed listening to music, cooking, spending time with her dogs, playing cards (spades was her favorite) and she loved a great sale. She was a manager at Wendy's restaurant.
Michelle was preceded in death by her parents Frank Sr. and Clara Ellis, brother Frank Ellis Jr., her sister Christine Ellis, and grandson Karter Gibson.
Michelle passed away on October 8, 2021, leaving behind her husband Paul Ashton, brother Christopher Ellis (Cynthia); five children Aeisha Ross, Vernon Ross, La'Rhonda Chalmers, La'Shonda Chalmers, and Carrie Ashbourne-Gibson (Kenneth); 18 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
