With deep love and sorrow, the family of Patricia E. Carter, mother of Tonnia, Lakeesha, Nerisa, and Jason, announces her peaceful passing on October 22, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on July 8, 1956, Patricia was a lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore, known for her kindness, her strength, and the love she so freely shared with everyone she met.
Patricia was the beloved daughter of Maryann Ayers and a devoted sister to Elaina, Ronald, Christine, and Jose. She was a proud grandmother to Ashley, Elizabeth, Jacinta, Qualek, Jahki, Elijah, Cam’Ron, Preston Jr., La’Nae, Ali’syah and Ellie May, and a cherished great-grandmother to Za’niah, Za’meera, Ay’sha, Levi, and Cameron Jr.
Patricia was a fighter until the very end. On October 22, 2025, she no longer had to fight. She was right where she wanted to be—at home, surrounded by love and in the comforting presence of her mother. May she rest in peace, free from pain. Patricia will forever watch over everyone she loved and all who loved her in return. Patricia will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and her unwavering faith. Her heart was as generous as it was strong, and her memory will live on in all whose lives she touched.
Though she may be gone from our sight. Patricia’s love will forever remain in our hearts.
