INTERMENT
Private

Paul Rodney English III was born on September 9, 1961, in Augusta, GA to the late Ruthie Mae Polen and Paul Rodney English II. He gained his wings on Thursday, September 21 at the age of 62.

Paul resided in Augusta with his grandmother, Donnie Belle Wiley and his great-grandmother, Annie Johnson. He received his elementary education in the Richmond County School system. At the age of 10, Paul relocated to Cliffwood, NJ to live with his Aunt Wille Belle, better known as “Butter,” and her family. He then continued his education in the Matawan-Aberdeen School District.

Paul enlisted in the United States Army initially as a reservist and later continued his enlistment on active duty. It was during this time that he and Toni Ann Brown became a couple and were married on December 5, 1986, in Clarksville, Tennessee. To this union were born two beautiful daughters, Paula and Regina.

Paul worked off and on for many years at Remarkable Builders & Small Jobs with owner Joseph Young. There he developed his skills as a contractor and eventually ventured out on his own as an independent contractor. His legacy will long be remembered by the structures he helped to erect in his own neighborhood.

Paul was a private individual who would help anyone he could along the way. He was the representation of what it means to be raised by the village as many of his family members contributed to his upbringing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruthie and Paul; his daughter, Regina; grandparents, aunts, uncles, father-in-law and brother-in-law.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife of 37 years, Toni English; daughter, Paula; a sister, Sheila Polen; mother-in-law Bertha Brown; brothers-in-law Kevin, Bob, Michael and Mark; sisters-in-law Jackie Londy (James), Debbie, Karen, Lorraine, and Michelle; two special cousins Diana Gumbs (Marvin) and Darlene Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
