Selena Williams was born to Clarence and Delia Moore on May 10, 1924, in Long Branch, New Jersey. She went home at the age of 100 years old on December 27, 2024, to be with the Lord.
Selena attended the Long Branch school system and graduated from Nightingale College in Miami, FL as a physician assistant in 1956. She was also a midwife.
Selena Williams served at Trinity AME Church as the president of the Laymen Organization. She also sang in the senior choir, served on the Missionary Board, and assisted with the Junior usher board.
Selena was predeceased by parents Delia and Clarence Moore of Long Branch, NJ, sisters Marion Overby of Long Branch, NJ, Margaret Jackson of Long Branch, NJ, and Myrtle Jones of Long Branch, NJ, daughters Victoria Queenan of PA and Anita Bryant of Long Branch, NJ and son Edgar Marshall of Asbury Park, NJ.
Selena is survived by her husband LeRoy Williams, Sr.; daughters Barbara Rainey of Bronx, NY; Paula (husband Sandy Frazier) of California; sons Ronald Moore of Pittsburgh, PA and LeRoy Williams, Jr. (Kathryn Williams) of Hillside, NJ; grandchildren Todalia Bradley, John Bradley, Melvin Bradley, Anthony Rainey, Elizabeth Rainey, Danielle Rainey, Darren Rainey, Benjamen Rainey, Zelma Rainey, Nicole Labon, Christopher Roberson, Kenton Marshall, Omar Finn, Rondale Finn, Selena Williams, Mary Williams and Joleetah Robertson. Selena also leaves to mourn a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
