It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our lovely matriarch Shirley Martel Gary. Shirley loved the Lord and is now at peace with our savior.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband James Gary Sr., son James Gary Jr., daughter Beverly Ann Gary, her parents George and Mattie, two brothers Walter Brown and Leon Brown, two sisters Carolyn Monroe (Babysis) and Elsie Highsmith, two brothers-in-law John Che and William Highsmith.
Shirley leaves to cherish her memories two daughters Mary Alice Gary and Clara Gary (Adean), Long Branch; her granddaughter Latoya Howard (Jason), Long Branch; brother George F. Brown Jr. of Richmond, VA; five sisters Betty Cox of Hartford CT, Anniemae Ogletree, Long Branch, Mary Alice Williams Richmond, VA, Teresa Wright of Silver Springs, MD, and Martha Cho of Washington, DC; six great grandchildren Jissella, Jason, Avianna, Jordan, Jaxxon, and Amelia Rose and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
