Tomasina Johnson-Battle age 51, gained her wings February 4, 2022. She was born March 8, 1970, in Long Branch to the Late Tommie and Myrtle Ann Johnson. Tomasina graduated from the Long Branch school system in 1988, where she was proud to be a green wave cheerleader. She was beautiful inside and out. She was a loving caring wife, sister, aunt and phenomenal woman. Tomasina loved her family unconditionally; her nieces and nephews were her joy. She was known for her courageousness, and when she walked in the room, SHE OWNED IT!! She was loved by whoever had the pleasure of knowing her. Tomasina loved her husband Earl (Ivory) Battle from the moment they met and married. The two were inseparable, and their love was known by everyone. Throughout the years, Tomasina had an outgoing desire for personal self-growth. She constantly challenged herself in each stage of her accomplishments.
She was predeceased by her parents Tommie and Myrtle Ann Johnson, her grandmother Elizabeth Younger all formerly of Long Branch, NJ, her two brothers Abdur- Farbi Muhammad and Ronnie E. Womack formerly of Newark NJ, her niece Taliyah Younger formerly of Neptune, NJ, Bonus mom Heddier Rebecca Womack formerly of Asbury Park, NJ, who she admired as a mother figure.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Earl Ivory Battle East Orange, NJ; her sisters Teresa Younger Neptune, NJ and Franciea “Cookie” Younger Neptune, NJ; her nieces Lashay Younger Brick, NJ, Shakoora Younger Neptune, NJ and Khadijah Younger Neptune, NJ; nephews Tyresse Younger Neptune, NJ and Fuquan Younger Neptune, NJ; her great nieces and nephews Quamire Green, Serenity Younger, Kyla Dennis, Dallas Younger, Tyshay Chance, Tamaya Younger, Winter Chance, Summer Chance and D’siah Pearson; her sister/cousin Syvona Stovall and a host of godchildren; a bonus sister Charlene Adams- Thomas and her bonus brothers Christopher Womack, Marcus Womack, and Edward “E.J” Walden.
