Arthur Terrell Carter, affectionately known as Eternal Savior Allah, 55, of Clinton, IA, formerly of Red Bank, NJ, passed away at home on May 10th, 2026.

Arthur was born in Long Branch, NJ, at Monmouth Medical Center on December 29th, 1970. He attended the Red Bank school system and graduated from Red Bank Regional High School in 1990. Eternal became a part of Allah’s 5 Percent Nation of Gods & Earths in 1986, where he went on to teach and add-on, dropping knowledge, wisdom, and understanding to all he could.

One of Eternal’s first jobs was at the Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank, NJ, where he worked for several years. Eternal had a love for driving, which led him to work for local taxicab services such as Shore Cab and Seaview Cab in Long Branch, NJ, and Black & Tan Taxi in Asbury Park, NJ, for many years. He later attended Shore Tractor Trailer School and received his CDL’s in 1999. He then began driving for Enviro Star and E&L Pavement trucking companies from 1999–2003 before deciding to join the United States Army, serving from 2003–2012.

Arthur’s military journey began in Fort Knox, Kentucky, with his first duty station in Honolulu, Hawaii. He served two deployments from Hawaii to Iraq; his first tour lasted 12 months, and his second tour lasted 18 months, both in Iraq. His third tour was 9 months in Afghanistan. Arthur’s rank advanced quickly, rising from Private First Class E4 to E6. He was an 88 Mike and led many convoys in combat, receiving numerous awards, medals, and achievement medals before receiving an Honorable Discharge as a retired Army Staff Sergeant in 2010.

Eternal later went on to work for Walmart as a store supervisor and forklift driver at the Walmart Distribution Center in Chicago, Illinois, from 2016–2026. Eternal loved his family and friends dearly; family was everything to him. He had a deep love for old classic cars, music, and was well known for his love of dancing and fancy footwork. He enjoyed music production, making beats, keyboards, and turntables. Eternal also had a love for dogs, especially Dobermans, and a passion for snakes. Eternal’s presence lit up every room. His sense of humor brought laughter to everyone, and his unconditional love made everyone feel safe and protected. Everyone around him became an extension of his family, and he made sure they felt it. Eternal was not only loving, but he also did everything he could to ensure his family was cared for and remained together. He was truly the glue of his family, often traveling to visit his children, grandchildren, sisters, and loved ones across different states.

Arthur was preceded in death by his sister, Articalise Carter; maternal grandfather, Lenwood Carter; maternal grandmother, Anna Lou Carter; his loving mother, Louise N. Carter; and a special cousin, Michael Deshaun Ross.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his four children: Jahmera Turnage of Richmond, Virginia; Gemmecca Carter (Deshun) of Honolulu, Hawaii; Darien Crank and Chanelle Crank of Clarksville, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; four sisters, Martina Owens (Edward) of Freehold, NJ, Rhonda Carter (Zyasia) of Neptune, NJ, Crystal Carter of Browns Mills, NJ, and Latisha Birchett (Corey) of North Brunswick, NJ; one brother, Julius Reynolds of Asbury Park, NJ; a loving Aunt, Edna Reed of Long Branch, NJ; and a very special friend, Asianna Wisdom, and her children Mykwana, Billy Jr., Unique, and Cornelius, all of Clinton, IA; along with a host of nephews, nieces, family, and friends. We would also like to acknowledge three special cousins: Ernie, Dee, and Asiatic.
