OBITUARY
SERVICE DETAILS
With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life of Barbara C. Holley, of Rockledge who peacefully entered eternal rest on April 14, 2026, at a rehabilitation facility in Florida at the age of 78.
Barbara was born on May 27, 1947, in Danville, VA to the late Sgt. Jeremiah King and Eve Gilbert. From humble beginnings, she grew into a woman whose life reflects strength, grace, humor, and unwavering love for her family. At the center of Barbara’s life was her devoted husband of 52 years, James E. Holley. Their enduring partnership was a beautiful example of love, commitment, and shared purpose. Together, they built a legacy rooted in faith, family, and perseverance.
Barbara leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory: her loving husband, James; her sons, Jason Holley (Clare) and Justin Holley; and her adored grandchildren, Mason J. Holley and Morgan O. Holley, who brought her immense pride and joy. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Dora Lee King-Morgan and Yvonna King Ray, along with a host of extended family and friends who were blessed by her presence. She was reunited in eternal peace with her parents and her beloved sister, Odessa King Johnson.
Barbara’s professional life reflected her dedication and excellence. She worked as an executive secretary in New York City, where her professionalism and keen attention to detail earned respect and admiration. She later poured her talents into the family business as Manager of Holley Catering in Tinton Falls, NJ, working side by side with her family to create not just a business, but a legacy of service and hospitality.
Barbara lived life fully and joyfully. She was known for her kindness, her quick wit that could brighten any room, and her deep affection for her beloved pets. She found delight in collecting holiday ornaments, expressing her creativity through phenomenal cooking, and embracing new adventures through travel.
A devoted and engaged mother, Barbara was ever-present in her sons’ lives—whether supporting their involvement in sports, participating in the PTA, or cheering them on through their Boy Scouts activities. Her love was active, visible, and unwavering.
Today, we do not simply mourn Barbara’s passing—we celebrate a life that touched so many with warmth, laughter, and love. Her legacy lives on in the lives she nurtured, the memories she created, and the love she so freely gave.
