SERVICE DETAILS
Patricia "Patty Cake" Jackson, age 76, peacefully departed this life on May 27, 2026, surrounded by her family, leaving behind a legacy of strength, laughter, and devotion to those she loved.
Born on March 14, 1950, in New York City, New York, Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Dorothy Roberta Fairley and David Fairley. She attended school in New York before relocating to New Jersey, where she built a life centered on family, faith, and caring for others.
Patty dedicated her life to serving others as a Certified Nursing Assistant and caregiver. She found purpose in helping those who could not care for themselves and took pride in providing comfort, dignity, and compassion to those in need.
A woman of faith, Patty was raised in the church and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Red Bank, New Jersey. Her faith remained an important part of her life and helped guide her through every season.
Known affectionately as "Patty Cake," she was truly the life of every gathering. Whether family and friends came together for holidays, celebrations, or spontaneous family gatherings, she brought energy, laughter, and a presence that could not be ignored. She was famous for her fried chicken, fried shrimp, and deviled eggs, favorite dishes that brought loved ones together around her table time and time again.
Patty Cake loved her family deeply and found great joy in being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren lovingly called her "Nanny," and she treasured every moment spent with them. She helped raise her grandchildren, loved to dance, and was happiest when family gathered together.
Patty was also known for speaking her mind and telling it exactly as she saw it. She never sugarcoated her opinions, and whether people agreed with her or not, they always knew where they stood. Her honesty, strong spirit, and authenticity were among the many qualities that made her unforgettable.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Roberta Fairley and David Fairley; her beloved daughter, Catherine “Kizzy” Jackson; her sisters, Shelly Fairley, Linda Fairley, and Yvonne Crank.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Jimmy James Fairley and Dorothy “Sue” Howard; her grandchildren, Jimmy Fairley II, Jayanna Matthews, Patricia Mona’ Jackson, Jakeira Dellahunt, Jahna Blount, Tiffany Jackson, and Brandon "BJ" Bridges; her cherished great-grandchildren; her siblings, Emma Fairley, Lisa Ottley, and David Fairley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Though Patty's physical presence is no longer with us, her vibrant spirit, her laughter, and the countless memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
