With heavy hearts we announce that Anthony Evans suddenly passed away on June 2, 2026. Anthony AKA Self Supreme was raised in Eatontown, NJ where he went to Monmouth Regional High School. He later moved to Red Bank, NJ in his teenage years.

Anthony had a heart of gold and touched many people’s lives. Tony was very family oriented. He kept in touch with all his nieces, nephews, sisters and brother. Anthony was very charismatic, often making others around him feel comfortable. He was also very funny, always making others around him laugh. He overcame some challenges in life, which made his family extremely proud. Anthony later moved to Hamilton, NJ where he worked as a drug and alcohol counselor at the Salvation Army in Trenton. While working there he made many deep connections. Another one of his greatest accomplishments was being a part of a brotherhood known as The Nation of Islam. Self Supreme obtained knowledge of self with this brotherhood in the early 90’s. The bond with his brothers was a big part of his life. And now he will always be a part of a legacy.

Anthony was predeceased by his mother Shirley Evans.  He is survived by his two sisters Veronica and Vanessa Evans and one brother Gregory Evans. He also leaves behind his sister in law Stephanie Evans. Anthony was the proud uncle of five nieces and two nephews LaToya Evans, Kyara Evans, Markquan Evans, Tysan Fleetwood, Maniyah Evans, Dijonay Brown and Monasia Evans. He was also lucky enough to have been a great uncle to three great nieces and one great nephew. Kylie Lawal, Taiden Andrews, Miyoni Hawkins and Kenzly Lawal. Also leaving behind a host of aunts, cousins and friends. While Anthony may be gone from our sight, he will never be gone from our hearts. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed tremendously.
