SERVICE DETAILS
Anthony “Dasheim” Pinero, 70, affectionately known as Duke, was a one-of-kind partner, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Born at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey to Yvonne Pinero and Raymond Hurley on April 22, 1953. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing his challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Dasheim came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. He returned to the essence at Ocean University Medical Center in Brick, NJ on May 18, 2023.
Dasheim attended Neptune Township School district and later graduated from Job Corps. Although he worked majority of his life at Bendix electroplating, his last job was at Nylabone as a manufacturer making dog treats. He spent his spare time with his lifetime partner, Diane Conover. He enjoyed listening to music and enjoying his Champagne of Beers, Miller High Life. He never missed a beat when it came to celebrating his family and friends so you were always sure to catch him on the dance floor or any floor with his famous two-step and shoulder bop.
Dasheim is predeceased by his parents, Yvonne "Earth" Pinero, Nathaniel "Eye-zame" Rosa (stepfather) and Raymond Hurley; his son, Tony Nelson; brother Seeah Rosa; and his favorite canine companion, Deuce.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his lifetime partner, Diane Conover; his sisters; Deidre "DeDe" Rosa, Yashee, Delanae, Erbeea (Andre), Noveea, Juusaee and brothers; Delbert "Eyezame" Rosa, Tubas (Soshima), Alzim, Izura, Allreal; his children Lashelle Harbison, Talicia Dean, Taqwa Pinero, Dasheim Pinero, Jihad (Nakeia) Pinero, Venika Williams, & Munir Floyd; 27 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a host nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, stepkids, friends and friends that became family.
