Barbara Anderson affectionately known as "Bobbie," 85 of Matawan, NJ earned her wings on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, NJ.  Barbara was born on March 12, 1934 in Red Bank to the late Joseph Anderson and Jane (nee Baird) Anderson.

Barbara graduated from Matawan Regional High School in 1952.  Professionally, she began working at the Prudential Insurance Company of America in Newark as a Financial Service Clerk from 1952 until her retirement in 1997.

Barbara developed a hobby as a National and International world traveler.  She traveled to many states and countries, seeing the world from many different perspectives and broadening her horizons at every turn.

She was a life-long member of Second Baptist Church Matawan where she served on the senior usher board until her health began to decline.  She was also a dedicated member of the Seacoast Association Usher Auxiliary.  Bobbie also volunteered with the Monmouth County Board of Elections.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Jane Anderson and her brother James B. Anderson.

She leaves to cherish her memories 2 nephews James J. Anderson and Grant Anderson (wife Cassandra), her cousins Audrey LaVerne Anderson Ray (husband Ernest), Richard Anderson (wife Michelle) as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
