SERVICE DETAILS
Betty Ann Goff beloved wife and mother left with the angels on December 14, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family and beloved canine, Puffy. Betty was a pillar of her community adored by all who met her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.
Betty was born on December 2, 1936 and was the eldest of four children born to the late Roger and Evelyn Donahue. After completing her education in the Richmond County Public School System, she met and fell in love with a handsome soldier whom she would soon marry and have a family.
During her fifty-eight years of marriage, Betty would tour the country, travel to Europe and live in Germany. Upon returning to the US, the family lived in Red Bank, NJ before making Long Branch, NJ their forever home in 1971.
Betty was a loving and caring person. After working as a Masseuse at the Harbor Island Spa in Long Branch, she pursued a career in healthcare. She graduated with a nursing Diploma from Monmouth Vocational School and passed the exam to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at Monmouth Convalescent Center and worked in healthcare for many years.
Betty was full of life and celebration, hosting gatherings for family, friends and her member organization, The Order of Eastern Star. She knew if she cooked, they would come. Holidays, backyard barbeques and pool parties brought people together from near and far. She loved making a house a home and was welcoming to all.
Betty is now in the glory of all the loved ones who preceded her including her parents, Roger Donahue Sr. and Evelyn Donahue; her husband Sidney C. Goff, Jr.; her eldest daughter Rominta F. Goff; her siblings Mary Donahue and Roger Donahue Jr. and two grandchildren David and Amanda Goff.
