Beverly Denise Daniels was born on September 3, 1956 in New York, NY to the late James and Daisy Daniels. She graduated from Public School 208 and Wadleigh Junior High School in Manhattan. In 1974, she graduated from Julia Richmond High School also in New York, NY.  Beverly attended American International College in Springfield, MA where she majored in English.  Beverly was employed for several years in the banking industry as a Customer Service Representative for Bank of New York and Chase Bank.  Later, she was employed in the Communications industry as a Telephone Information Operator for AT&T and years later for Verizon.  Beverly retired from Verizon in 2008 after many years of service.

Beverly worshipped at Walker Memorial Baptist Church as a child and for many years as an adult while living in New York City.  She sang in the Choir, mentored young members of the Church and supported the various church auxiliaries.

In 2008 after she retired, Beverly moved to Hazlet, NJ to help care for her nephews Adam, Malcolm and Aaron. She became a member of Second Baptist Church in Matawan, NJ and this became her church home in NJ.  Beverly enthusiastically supported all aspects of the Church including teaching, becoming assistant to the pastor, distributing food to the needy and of course making delicious food for Church activities.

Beverly will always be remembered as a caring, generous, upbeat person that loved the Lord. She had a strong will and remained cheerful while battling various health issues. She always said, “I’m leaving it in God’s hands.”

Beverly leaves to celebrate her life siblings James Smith (Joyce), NC, Brenda Daniels, NJ, Marvin Daniels, GA, Rickey Daniels, NC, and Lynette Daniels, NC; uncles James Manas Jr., NY and Nathan Manas, CA; aunts Gladys Stevens, NC, Susan Green (Harold), NC and Juanita Davis, VA; nephews Adam Daniels, NJ, Malcolm Daniels, GA, Aaron Daniels, FL, James Smith Jr. (Tanya) NC, and Maurice Smith (Tamesha), NC; nieces Sharyn Daniels GA and Angela Smith, FL as well as a host of cousins, great nieces, nephews and very dear friends.

Beverly went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2022.  That familiar laugh, generous spirit and positive attitude will be missed here on earth but enjoyed eternally with the Lord.
