Catherine M. (Hauer) Becker, 101, passed away peacefully, on December 31, 2023.
Catherine was born and raised in Rahway, NJ and lived most of her married life in Westfield, NJ. She was a purchasing agent for Reichhold Corporation, retiring after 25 years.
Following her retirement, Catherine and her husband, Russell, moved to the Poconos, then to Florida, where they spent many happy years. Upon her husband's death, Catherine moved to Long Branch to be closer to family. She then came out of retirement, working for Kmart Corporation, West Long Branch, for 20 years, retiring for a second time at the age of 98.
Catherine was predeceased by her husband Russell, her sister Dorothy Boylan, and her brothers William and Robert Hauer.
She is survived by her niece Patricia Boylan and her husband John Gannon; her stepson Robert Becker; and step grandchildren Cindy, Sherry and Brad.
We were blessed to have known her.
