Charles Inman Brewer 87, born November 10, 1933 to the late Ruth and Ben T. Brewer in Hartwell, Georgia.  He attended Hart County Training School and from there he enlisted in the United States Army.  He served three years and while serving he married his high school sweetheart Dorothy Cleveland; from this union they had two sons Charles M. and Stevie A. Brewer.

Charles relocated to Long Branch, NJ in January 1958.  He owned and operated Charlie Brewer Diner, Long Branch, then went to Northern State Prison, as a Food Instructor and worked there for 17 years then retired because of health issues.

Charles enjoyed going food shopping at Shop-Rite, making new friends, getting together with his friends, but most of all giving wise advice to family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his fondest memories his wife of 64 years Dorothy, 2 sons Charles M. (Dot) and Stevie A. "Ali" Brewer all of Long Branch; grandchildren Monique Dennis, Asbury Park, Keyta Wade, Long Branch and Ikee Redding, Asbury Park; great-grandchildren Tariq, Rahasia, Arabia and Michael; great-great grandchildren Carter and Royale; two special nieces Peggy Brewer, Atlanta, GA and Robbie Lewis, South Carolina; special cousin Harold Hunt, Colorado, Edie E. Fuller, Willingboro, NJ; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends as well as close friend Carl - shop-rite buddy.
