Delone was raised in Tinton Falls, NJ, and attended Long Branch High School. She lived in Long Branch for a number of years before relocating to Neptune, NJ with her four children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and offered her home as a place of rest to those in need.
Affectionately known as “Big D,” she was the fun auntie, best Mimi to her grands, the big little sister all her siblings loved, and she loved to dance like no one was watching. You could always count on Delone for lots of laughter and jokes.
She was predeceased by her father, Jessie “Bud” Anderson Jr., mother, Sarah Jane Anderson, uncles, Vernon Staton, Jr., Bishop Richard Worsley, Jr. (Doris), Curtis Cobbs, Tony Lynn, and brother-in-law Ovester Pruitt, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, four children: Tyeshia Anderson (Keansburg, NJ), Felicia Anderson, (Long Branch, NJ), Terry Anderson, (Long Branch, NJ), and Shaniece Anderson, (Neptune, NJ); Six siblings eldest to youngest: sister Ethel Anderson (Milton), Greenville, NC, brother Kenneth Anderson, Sr. (Pamela), Edgewood, MD, sister, Lezeila Anderson (Jimmy), Long Branch, NJ, sister, Barbara Pruitt, Frederick, MD, brother, Jerome Anderson (Stephanie), Neptune, NJ, and sister, Jessie Mae Anderson, Long Branch, NJ; three granddaughters Taylor, Briana, and Brielle; two grandsons Shakhi and Khasir; One great-granddaughter, Heaven Annalise; special cousin, Chris Worsley; and special nephew, Rashad Anderson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and close friends.
